My Brother's Keeper Houston
My Brother’s Keeper Houston (MBK Houston) is a citywide community of partners, families, and leaders working together to support boys and young men of color across Houston. We connect people and resources, lift up what’s working, and keep the focus on real opportunities for young people to thrive. The Houston Health Department serves as our backbone organization, helping coordinate this shared work so we stay aligned, connected, and moving forward together.
Our Six
Milestones
At MBK Houston, our six milestones are the roadmap, the most important steps from early childhood through young adulthood that shape school success, career success, and lifelong safety. Using this milestone approach helps Houston work as one team, focusing efforts and measuring progress so more young people can reach their full potential. Why Our Work Is Needed
The model MBK Houston operates allows everyone to come to the table and thrive together for true collective impact, where our youth are exposed to opportunities and growth that will positively change their families and communities.
