Community Working Together

My Brother's Keeper Houston

My Brother’s Keeper Houston (MBK Houston) is a citywide community of partners, families, and leaders working together to support boys and young men of color across Houston. We connect people and resources, lift up what’s working, and keep the focus on real opportunities for young people to thrive. The Houston Health Department serves as our backbone organization, helping coordinate this shared work so we stay aligned, connected, and moving forward together.

How Our Work is Done

Our Six
Milestones

At MBK Houston, our six milestones are the roadmap, the most important steps from early childhood through young adulthood that shape school success, career success, and lifelong safety. Using this milestone approach helps Houston work as one team, focusing efforts and measuring progress so more young people can reach their full potential. Click a milestone below to learn what it means and what we are doing.
